It is a debate on water divining,
with the usual bigots regarding it as witchcraft.
Here was my comment:
I am a Christian in Word and deed (as best I can!) and regard water detection by 'feel' as a life-giving gift.
As a game farm manager, I employed a hydrologist, at great expense, to mark 'promising' spots. We drilled eight dry holes, at even greater, wasted expense.
In desperation, we got a water seeker in, who used two bent brazing rods. He marked eight spots, and we hit fresh, gushing water just below the surface, on every one, even on top of a koppie!
He said it was a gift of sensitivity to static electricity, and only asked us to cover his travel and accommodation.
Didn't Moses strike water in the desert, on God's instruction?
'Diviner' is a misnomer, and leads to much misunderstanding of this gift. Scientifically, it is explainable, to those who care to investigate it.
Keep an open mind on this gift, which does no harm, but only good. Many water seekers do not even charge for their services, believing it to be a Godsend.
